NYSPA Regions

 Mission:

The New York State Perinatal Association (NYSPA) is a   state-wide alliance of health and human service professionals and consumers concerned with perinatal health issues from preconception through early childhood. NYSPA advocates for optimal perinatal care and parenting and promotes education and research, influences state priorities and encourages a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary approach to maternal and child health.

Purpose:

To promote the well-being of prospective mothers, infants and communities; and, to promote perinatal education throughout the State of New York.

  • Transcultural Education: A Journey to Cultural Proficiency - June 17 or 18. The Transcultural Journey training program is a program of the National Perinatal Association and was developed in the interest of reducing disparities in perinatal health outcomes and improving the perinatal experience for all women and families.
